HEART RING

I made this ring for myself back in 2020 during Covid. Not being able to see friends and family was hard, and I was sad and lonely - I’m sure a lot of people felt the same way as I did. I wanted to have something that reminds me of love and connection. These are the images I was looking at and poems I was reading.

Simply the idea of love and connection led me to the heart symbol, but the last thing I wanted was for it to be cheesy. I wanted it to be special and not perfect like machine made it. I started carving out wax so I can cast in in gold. Figuring out the band that matches the little heart was the hardest part. I’ve been wearing it everyday, and it became my amulet. I truly hope that this little heart would be someone else’s special amulet as well. Definitely made with (lots of) love ; )
